August 1, 2011 Thirty-First Day

The Worth County Board of Supervisors met pursuant to adjournment with all members present.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to approve the July 25, 2011 board minutes.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to recess the regular meeting.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to open the public hearing at 9:30 A.M. for the Temporary Redistricting Commission preliminary proposed county supervisors districting plan and corresponding precinct plan. Public comment was heard.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to close the public hearing at 9:55 A.M.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to reconvene the regular meeting.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to recess the regular meeting.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to open the public hearing at 10:00 A.M. for the first reading of Ordinance #08-01-11 to change the existing boundaries for the districts and precincts of Worth County to comply with the laws due to the 2010 census. Public comment was heard.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to close the public hearing at 10:04 A.M.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to reconvene the regular meeting.

Motion by Haugen, second by Abrams, carried to approve the agreement between Worth County, IA and Hogan-Hansen to perform the annual audit of the County for the years ending June 30, 2012 through June 30, 2016.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to approve the destruction of claims and warrants up to FY2006.

Motion by Haugen, second by Abrams, carried to approve the abatement of taxes only in the amount of $222.00 on mobile home on land owned by others 19 100 20 in the name of Arlyn Rustad.

The meeting adjourned until 9:00 A.M., August 8, 2011.
