May 31, 2011 Twenty-Second Day

The Worth County Board of Supervisors met pursuant to adjournment with all members present.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to approve the May 23, 2011 board minutes and the May 24, 2011 joint Mitchell/Worth board minutes.

Motion by Haugen, second by Abrams, carried to approve the Class C Liquor License for Happy Time Resort.

Motion by Abrams, second by Haugen, carried to approve the application for Iowa Retail Cigarette/Tobacco Permit for Diamond Jo Casino Worth, The Jo Stop, and Pronto Market.

A conference call was held with Mitchell County Board of Supervisors to discuss the salary for Rich Brumm, Worth/Mitchell County Engineer for FY11/12. Motion by Stan Walk, Mitchell County Supervisor, second by Dave Haugen, Worth County Supervisor, to approve the salary at $95,000 with each county contributing half at $47,500. Roll call vote was taken: Aye – Marreel, Voaklander, Walk, Abrams, Haugen, May; Nay – None. Motion carried.

Motion by Haugen, second by Abrams, carried to approve the request for a fireworks permit for Saturday, July 9^th with a rain date of Saturday, July 23^rd submitted by Bill & Jina Schulte, 1164 Highway 9, Manly.

The meeting adjourned until 9:00 A.M., June 6, 2011.
