WORTH & MITCHELL COUNTY JOINT BOARD MINUTES

August 6, 2007

The Worth County and Mitchell County boards of supervisors met at 11:00 a.m. at the Worth County Courthouse, Northwood, IA. Present were Supervisors: Dennis May, Jeff Creger, Stan Walk, Bob Marreel and Joel Voaklander. Absent was Darrell Bang. Also present were Deputy Auditor Barb Walser, Auditor Lowell Tesch and Jim Hyde.

Discussed the hiring of an Engineer for both counties. Applications were received from Jim Hyde and Richard Brumm. Discussed duties, drainage districts and salary. After reviewing the qualifications of the applicants there was a motion by Walk, second by Creger to hire Jim Hyde as a full-time County Engineer for Worth and Mitchell Counties at a salary of $75,000 with the contract running thru June 30, 2008. Jim will begin work on August 9, 2007. Roll call vote: Voaklander, Marreel, Walk, Creger and May voted aye. Motion carried.

The joint meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
