President Vansteenburg called the meeting to order at 7:00

Timber cutting at Brunsvold Haugen is done, logs still need to be removed.
Met with One Stop Forestry to try and get some prices for timber work.
No action on the firewood sale work.
Rearing pond just about perfect. Lots of water, should get fry next week.
Smith moved to accept the Naturalist report. Second by Faber. Motion carried.
The Board decided to lower the asking price for the F250 to $5,000.
Top of Iowa Tourism has asked us to participate on their committee. The Board recommended that the Director attend the meetings and determine if they worth our time.
The Director was asked to contact a landowner to make them aware that we would be interested in acquiring the property someday.
Discussion was held on developing a river trail on the Shell Rock River. The Director was asked to start the planning process and report at the next two board meetings.
Several items were discussed to celebrate the boards 50th anniversary. The staff was instructed to start planning a float to be used in the community parades, an open house at Kuennen’s Quarry. A geocaching treasure hunt is also being considered.
