The transit covers all communities in Worth County, as well as, Lake Mills and Mason City.  Other destinations can be arranged through linkage with other transit providers within the region.  The Public Health Office will schedule the linkage for the client on request.  The bus is available for any trip reason and all age groups.  Infants and small children need to supply their own car seat to be secured.  We request that we know 24 hours in advance of your transportation need.  We have buses that go into Mason City about 3 times a day.  We attempt to arrive in Mason City around 8 a.m.; 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Appointments scheduled to coincide with these time frames will reduce the wait time for the rider.  Worth County Transit does accept the free Silver Advantage tickets and the Cancer tickets from Mercy Hospital.  Please inquire from your physician if you need assistance with paying for your rides.  There is no income guidelines to get these tickets.  You may also purchase tickets prior to riding the bus.  They are available at the Public Health Office.  Cash is accepted at the time of the ride.  The fares are set by NIACOG and are as follows:

Outside of county:

Hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. as needed.  Worth County has two buses available.  Buses operate Monday - Friday.  Buses are closed on the same legal holidays observed by the County Courthouse.
